She Can See

Sunday, January 24th, 2009 - Day 37

For a while, we could tell that she couldn't really see that far, but this week she proved to us that she can definitely see. Chris got her to smile by looking at her and playing with her - it was evident she was looking right at him. Usually, she'll look right past him or stare off in space. She was in her swing and for the first time, she noticed the flowers that hang just above. She was staring at them and Chris and I were amazed she could see that far. Then, Chris had her in her crib the other night with the ceiling lighted up with the cow jumping over the moon. Tia was just staring at it, wide awake in her crib...Chris came back 45 minutes later and she was still staring up at the ceiling in awe. The doctor even confirmed that she was seeing perfectly well. So now when you meet or see her, she'll recognize your faces!
