Power Outage

Sunday, January 10th, 2009 - Day 23

We had an unexpected trip out of the house today due to our subdivision being out of power. Around 8ish, I heard a ton of beeps and a sound like things were shutting down including the fan going off. I woke Chris up and he said the entire house was out of power. We gave Ameren a call and yep, 104 houses were out of power and it would be on until 3pm. With our 3 week old little girl and the weather being 4 degrees outside, we decided that we needed to get out of the house to stay warm. In only about 10 minutes, I could already feel the house getting colder. We loaded up the car and headed over to Lisa's house, since she only lives 10 minutes away and we wanted to stay close to the house. We are praying that the power will be on sooner than later!
