Tia's First Restaurant

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Today, we went to Hometown Buffet for my mom's 60th birthday lunch. She said she picked Hometown Buffet (She still calls it Old Country Buffet), because she wanted to get her Senior Citizen card, lol So, we brought Tia and she did really great. We brought her Bumbo and she sat in that for a while and was passed around a bit, and eventually fell asleep in her carseat. My brother, his wife and two girls were there and they got to play with Tia a bit too. We also went and watched my older sister Nan bowl in a Celebrity bowling tournament. We didn't stay long, but Tia did well there too. So I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to admit it went very well. She was an Angel.

  1. They are great restaurant patrons until about a year old : ) We met up with some friends at Growler's patio on Saturday night and brought the boys. Yikes! They are pregnant with baby #1 and want three...I haven't followed up with them since we introduced them to the struggles of having two. We need a 1:1 adult to child ratio when Alexander is with us.

  2. Jen is right. They are so sweet at public places until about 10-12 months, then....LOOK OUT! LOL Nothing like a child screaming when he doesn't get his/her way or when he/she doesn't have something to nibble on. It can be quite embarassing. My suggestion, always have some cheerios in a baggie or something that they can eat. It's like they smell the food and if they don't have something to eat right then, they are going to scream or throw a fit. It's all worth it though.
